Flowers for Palo Alto homes, offices, hospitals and services

The Palo Alto Medical Foundation clinic is at 795 El Camino Real, and the VA Palo Alto Medical Center at 3801 Miranda Avenue. For the VA, include the veteran’s full name and the building or unit if you know it.
Offices in Stanford Research Park, along Page Mill Road, and in downtown buildings route flowers through a lobby or reception desk. Include the company, building, floor, the recipient’s full name and a phone number.
Palo Alto High School, Gunn High School and the district’s elementary and middle schools receive flowers through their main offices. Include the staff member’s full name and order early on event days.
Alta Mesa Memorial Park at 695 Arastradero Road in Palo Alto is the city’s only cemetery, founded in 1904. For a burial or memorial there, include the service time, the name of the person being honored and an onsite contact. Our funeral and sympathy flower guide explains timing for formal pieces.

A tall tree, a university town and a famous garage
Palo Alto takes its name from El Palo Alto, Spanish for tall stick, a coast redwood beside San Francisquito Creek that early travelers used as a landmark. The city incorporated on April 16, 1894, alongside the new Stanford University.
In 1939 Bill Hewlett and David Packard started their company in a small garage behind 367 Addison Avenue. The garage is now a California Historical Landmark known as the birthplace of Silicon Valley.
Professorville, near downtown, is a historic district of shingled houses built for Stanford faculty. Stanford Shopping Center opened in 1955.
