Flowers for Point Richmond and Marina Bay
Point Richmond’s small downtown, around Washington Avenue and Park Place, is full of independent shops, cafés and restaurants. For a business delivery, enter the business name with the street address and the hours someone will be there. The Masquers Playhouse on Park Place is a longtime community theater, so flowers for a performer are best sent to their home before or after the show.
Homes on the hills above downtown sit on steep, narrow streets, often with stairs to the door. Include any gate or stair details and the recipient’s phone, and tell us which entrance is used.
Marina Bay has townhomes, condominiums and apartment buildings along the water, many with gates and call boxes. Give the community or building name, the unit and the recipient’s phone so the driver can reach them.
Freight trains run through Point Richmond day and night, and crossings can cause short delays. A recipient phone number lets the driver call ahead if a train holds up the route.
For hospital deliveries, include the patient’s full name and room if you know it. Kaiser Permanente Richmond Medical Center is at 901 Nevin Avenue. Our hospital and care facility guide lists the details most facilities ask for.
Keller Beach and the Bay Trail along Marina Bay are favorite spots for walks and gatherings. A park has no reception desk, so flowers should go to a home or to a person who can meet the driver.
For sympathy flowers to a home, give the family name, a phone number and any timing preferences. For a service at a church, hall or funeral home, include the venue, the deceased’s full name, the service time and an onsite contact. Our funeral and sympathy flower guide explains timing for formal pieces.

A railroad town and a wartime shipyard
Point Richmond grew up around the railroad. Santa Fe trains once ran through the Ferry Point tunnel to reach the ferries to San Francisco, and the neighborhood’s small downtown still keeps its early mom-and-pop character. The Point Richmond Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
Marina Bay was built in the mid-1980s on the site of Kaiser’s Shipyard No. 2, where Liberty ships were built during World War II.
The Rosie the Riveter Memorial at Marina Bay was dedicated on October 14, 2000. It honors the women who worked on the home front and is part of the Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical Park.
