The Berkeley Hills have been on our route since 1982
Our drivers carry flowers to homes above the city, school offices, family gatherings and special destinations around Grizzly Peak Boulevard, Tilden Regional Park, the Lawrence Hall of Science and the roads near Claremont Canyon. Order by 1 PM for same-day delivery. Because the neighborhood climbs and curves, the complete street address is only the start: include the recipient phone, gate or call-box instructions and the entrance that is actually used.
A Berkeley Hills stop can be hidden by trees, reached by a stairway or approached from a different street than the mailing address suggests. Some homes have short, steep driveways with little room to turn; others share a lane or sit above a retaining wall. Tell us what the driver will see from the road and where a safe handoff can happen. That preparation protects the arrangement and avoids leaving flowers where wind, sun or wildlife can reach them.
People send flowers here for birthdays, anniversaries, new homes, condolences, graduations and days when distance calls for something tangible. We build every design by hand, add water support for the trip and secure the container before the route begins. Your access details stay with the order so the delivery plan fits the hillside address rather than relying on a pin alone.

A route note for the address above the map pin
For a residence, identify the gate, visible house number, driveway entrance, exterior stairs and a phone number answered during the delivery window. If the driveway is not suitable for a delivery vehicle, name a safe lower entrance or meeting point. For the Lawrence Hall of Science, UC-affiliated facilities, schools and staffed destinations, include the building or department, recipient's full name and a receiving contact.
Tilden Regional Park, Grizzly Peak overlooks and trail access points are broad outdoor locations, not secure places for an unattended arrangement. An event order needs a reserved facility or exact entrance and a named recipient ready to meet the driver. Claremont Canyon addresses can fall near Berkeley and Oakland boundaries, so use the full civic address and ZIP rather than the neighborhood name alone.
What helps on a Berkeley Hills delivery
- Order by 1 PM for same-day delivery availability.
- Include gate, driveway, stair and entrance directions.
- Provide a phone number answered during the route.
- Name the building or office at schools and institutions.
- Arrange a staffed handoff for parks and overlooks.
Berkeley Hills delivery destinations
Homes dominate the ridge, but campus destinations, schools, parks and gathering places each need their own receiving details.
Homes and hillside streets
Provide the full address, recipient phone, gate or call-box instructions and the entrance visible from the road. Mention shared lanes, steep stairs and limited turnarounds.
Schools and campus sites
Address flowers to the main office or named department with the recipient's full name. Large properties may use several entrances that are not connected by an easy walk.
Lawrence Hall of Science
Include the department, event or staff member accepting the design, plus a day-of phone contact. Visitor information alone does not identify the receiving person.
Churches and memorials
Name the congregation or venue, service date and time, family name and on-site contact. Say whether the flowers are for the service space, reception or family.
Tilden and outdoor events
Use the reserved facility or exact entrance and arrange for a named person to meet the driver. Trailheads and scenic turnouts are not safe unattended drop points.
Care and hospital deliveries
Major hospitals are downhill or nearby. Provide the exact facility, legal patient or resident name and room information the family has confirmed, and check current flower policies.
Parks, panoramic roads and houses shaped by the slope
The East Bay Regional Park District acquired land for what became Tilden Regional Park in 1936, during the park district's earliest years. The park stretches beyond Berkeley's street grid into Wildcat Canyon and the ridge country behind the city. Its botanic garden, trails, picnic areas, Lake Anza and historic carousel made the hills a public destination as well as a residential backdrop.
Grizzly Peak Boulevard follows the crest above Berkeley, opening long views toward the Bay. The Lawrence Hall of Science stands below the ridge on UC Berkeley property, combining public science education with a hilltop outlook. Panoramic Hill rises south of the campus near Strawberry Canyon; its narrow streets and stairs reflect development on terrain that never accepted a simple rectangular grid.
Architect Bernard Maybeck designed influential homes and buildings in Berkeley, and the hills became a setting for the Bay Region's wood-shingled architecture. The landscape also carries a difficult memory. On September 17, 1923, a wind-driven fire began in Wildcat Canyon, crossed the ridge and destroyed hundreds of structures north of the UC campus. City records identify it as Berkeley's worst fire. Its path is distinct from the account told on the Downtown Berkeley page: here, the story begins with terrain, wind and the exposed hill neighborhoods.
Modern delivery still responds to that terrain, even in ordinary weather. Curves can hide addresses, vegetation can screen an entry and a road that looks close on a map may sit far above another. A clear description of the entrance is practical local knowledge, and it allows the flowers to arrive without improvising on a narrow street.

Berkeley Hills delivery questions
Can you deliver to a steep Berkeley Hills driveway?
Yes, when the address can be reached safely. Describe the driveway entrance, grade, turnaround, stairs and a lower handoff option if the vehicle should not climb.
Do you deliver to the Lawrence Hall of Science?
Yes. Give the department, event or recipient's full name and a contact who can accept the arrangement at the appropriate entrance.
Can flowers be delivered inside Tilden Regional Park?
Use a reserved facility or exact staffed entrance and arrange for a named recipient to meet the driver. A trailhead, picnic area or roadway is not secure for an unattended design.
What should I include for a Panoramic Hill address?
Provide the complete address, ZIP, recipient phone and specific approach, including stairs or an entrance on a different street. The neighborhood's lanes do not always follow a simple grid.
Can you deliver sympathy flowers to a hilltop service?
Yes. Include the venue, family name, service time and an on-site contact, and state where the arrangement should be placed.
What is the same-day cutoff for the Berkeley Hills?
Order by 1 PM Pacific Time for same-day availability. Earlier orders give us more flexibility for campus receiving, gates, steep approaches and timed events.
