Flowers for Centerville homes, shops and families

Fremont Boulevard is Centerville’s main street, lined with Afghan, South Asian and other family-run markets and restaurants. The area is often called Little Kabul. For a business delivery, enter the business name with the street address and the hours someone will be there.

Centerville has older single-family homes, newer townhomes and apartment complexes. For an apartment or townhome, include the unit number and any gate or call box code.

Washington High School and local elementary and middle schools receive flowers through their main offices. Include the staff member’s full name and the event time.

Washington Hospital at 2000 Mowry Avenue in Fremont is a short drive away, and Kaiser Permanente’s Fremont Medical Center at 39400 Paseo Padre Parkway is also nearby. Include the patient’s full name and room number if you know it. Our hospital and care facility guide lists the details most hospitals ask for.

For family celebrations, include the event name, the start time and a contact phone. A delivery to the host’s home before guests arrive works well.

For sympathy flowers to a home, give the family name, a phone number and any timing preferences. For a service, include the venue, the deceased’s full name, the service time and an onsite contact. Our funeral and sympathy flower guide explains timing for formal pieces.

A depot, a high school and a new community

Centerville was one of the five towns that joined to form Fremont in 1956. Its first railroad station opened in 1882.

The wooden depot at 37260 Fremont Boulevard was finished in September 1910. Amtrak brought trains back on June 4, 1993, and today Capitol Corridor and ACE trains stop here.

Washington High School was founded in 1892. Afghan families began settling here in the late 1970s, and Centerville became the center of one of the largest Afghan communities outside Afghanistan.
