San Francisco neighborhood flower delivery
We deliver flowers across Bernal Heights, from the Cortland Avenue shops and Precita Park on the north slope to Holly Park and the streets near the Alemany Farmers Market. Order by 1:00 PM Pacific Time for same-day flowers. Our morning and afternoon runs plan around the hill’s steep blocks, stairways, narrow streets and the mix of cottages, flats and small apartment buildings.
What Makes Us Unique
Before sunrise, our designers are hard at work doing what they do best. Your arrangement is artisan-designed and handcrafted the same day you place your order, using exceptional flowers from trusted growers in California and around the world to ensure freshness, quality, and a one-of-a-kind creation for every special occasion.
We make an early-morning run for funerals, memorials, early events, and other time-sensitive occasions, followed by a mid-afternoon run for residential and business deliveries.
Simply order as late as 1:00 PM Pacific Time on the day you need your flowers for same-day delivery in Bernal Heights.

Bernal Heights wraps around a hill, so two addresses a block apart can sit at very different heights. Many homes are reached by a stair from the sidewalk, a side path or a garage door below the main entrance. Include the unit, bell, gate code and recipient phone, and tell us which door is used day to day. If there is no safe place to stop, a driver can call ahead for a quick handoff.
Cortland Avenue is the neighborhood’s main street, lined with cafés, restaurants and small shops. For a business delivery, enter the shop or restaurant name with the street address and the hours someone will be there. For a dinner, add the host name and seating time so staff recognize the order.
The Bernal Heights Branch Library sits at 500 Cortland Avenue, and the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center is nearby at 515 Cortland Avenue. For staff celebrations or a program event, give the recipient’s name and the room or desk where the flowers should go.
Schools receive flowers through the main office. Paul Revere (PreK-8) School is at 555 Tompkins Avenue and Junipero Serra Elementary School is at 625 Holly Park Circle. Include the staff member’s full name and the school name, and order early on days with performances or graduations.
Hospital and care deliveries need the patient’s full name and room if you know it. CPMC Mission Bernal Campus, on the neighborhood’s northern edge, uses its main entrance at 555 San Jose Avenue. See our hospital and care facility guide for the details most facilities ask for.
Precita Park, Holly Park and Bernal Heights Park are popular for birthdays, picnics and small gatherings. Parks have no reception desk, so flowers should go to a home or a person who can meet the driver. Add a phone number and a meeting point if you want an arrangement brought to an event nearby.
The Alemany Farmers Market runs every Saturday at 100 Alemany Boulevard, below the hill’s south side. Market-day traffic near Alemany Boulevard can slow nearby deliveries, so Saturday orders for homes on the south slope are best placed early.
For sympathy flowers to a home, give the family name, a phone number and any timing preferences. For a service at a church or hall, include the venue, the deceased’s full name, the service time and an onsite contact. Our funeral and sympathy flower guide explains timing for formal pieces.
Wind can be strong near the top of the hill. A compact arrangement in a sturdy container travels and sits better than a tall, open design when it may wait on a porch or stair landing. Tell us if the recipient is often away so we can plan the handoff.
Bernal Heights takes its name from José Cornelio Bernal, who received the Rancho Rincon de las Salinas y Potrero Viejo land grant in 1839. The rancho covered a wide area south of the early town, and later subdivision turned part of it into the streets that climb the hill today.
The neighborhood grew after the 1906 earthquake and fire, when San Franciscans displaced from the burned districts settled in outlying areas.
The Bernal Heights Branch Library at 500 Cortland Avenue was dedicated on October 21, 1940. It was designed by architect Frederick H. Meyer and funded by the Work Projects Administration. After a renovation, the branch reopened on January 30, 2010, keeping its historic architecture.
Below the south side of the hill, the Alemany Farmers Market has operated since 1943 and is the oldest continuously operated farmers market in California. It still opens every Saturday at 100 Alemany Boulevard.
