Rossmoor has a staffed main gate. Include the street address, the manor or unit number and the recipient’s phone so the gate can confirm the delivery.

Many residents live in cooperative and condominium manors with several units per building. Add the building and unit number so our driver can find the right door.

From a cattle ranch to a 55+ community

In the 1930s, the land was an estate owned by shipping industrialist Stanley Dollar, who raised cattle and horses here.

Ross W. Cortese of Rossmoor Corporation bought the property in 1960 and began building in 1963. The historic Dollar Clubhouse is one of five clubhouses today.

About 9,800 residents live in 6,676 homes across 1,800 acres, with two golf courses, pools and hiking trails. The Golden Rain Foundation, a nonprofit, manages the community.
